奇怪，聽這首歌時，一直想到當兵時，由楓港往恒春的屏鵝濱海公路，那兒的天空，那兒的海。
當兵那一年多，在離開後似乎就全部忘光了，就算努力回想，不管好的壞的漂亮的難過的，好像故意不想記得般，都是斷斷續續，不成塊的回憶。
民歌式的曲風，但聲音卻又再輕柔些，只有吉他伴奏，簡單，很容易就滿足想回味過去的心情。
被這種歌吸引，其實無關曲好或是詞好，就是乾淨而已。

Verona 小鎮，站在餐廳內門口附近啃冰淇淋，冰淇淋滿是奶味，和想像中的義式冰淇淋味道不同，愈吃愈沒趣，不過在冷風蕭瑟街頭，有個溫暖地方休息一下，沒什麼好挑的。

雖然早已過了聖誕節。
不過這麼冷，還算是有聖誕節氣氛。
Ipad 好用，切換到日文鍵盤很簡單，心血來潮，又開始在網上找這首念念不忘的歌。印象中是齣日劇片尾曲，日劇內容是一家溫暖的西式料理餐廳，每集結尾，總是停在刻意營造出來的感動氣氛，這首歌曲適時出現，味道就是這麼剛好。
聖誕歌曲，就得在寒冷天氣中製造溫暖。
可是在網上消息卻不多，而我連日劇名稱是啥都想不起來，找了幾部相似的，也沒介紹，不過，網路資訊累積速度驚人，這回可找著了。

馬上找了她的CD，自已寫的歌詞，像在說故事，歌聲也像在說故事；夏日午後，被外頭大雨悶在家裡，正適合聽這種歌。

晚上到金石堂翻書，店內音樂是古典吉他演奏改編過的西洋歌曲，輕快好聽，其中兩首特別讓我印象深刻，一是 Phil Collins 唱過的 “You Can’t Hurry Love”，另一首就是這首”Best That You Can Do”。
這個年代的歌曲，簡簡單單，沒有太多花俏的編曲，旋律反而讓我記得清清楚楚，而歌詞中 “If you get caught between the Moon and New York City, The best that you can do, The best that you can do is fall in love”，好有味道。
這首歌是 “二八佳人花公子” 的主題曲，那年代我看的西洋電影仍停留在007的階段，而且我總覺得Liza Minneli不得我的緣，不懂她以傻大姐類型能夠這麼紅，所以，現在也不會想去找這部片子來看，雖然這部片當年可是得了很多獎。
在Youtube找歌曲，Christopher Cross的長相也讓我驚訝，和高8度的歌聲真是搭不起來，像是在喜劇片中，常見的一個埋在沙發裡喝啤酒對著電視裡的球賽叫喊的小角色。

往機場路上，塞車，天空灰濛濛，收音機中傳出讓人非常懷念的音樂，是江蕙的歌聲，但是曲改編自”サボテンの花”；會知道這首歌，當然是因為”一個屋簷下”。
物換星移。
江口洋介一舉扭轉在”東京愛情故事”和”101次求婚”中的不清不楚，深殖苦情形象到現在，不過把長髮剪了，聽說鄭伊健的長髮造型是模仿他。
福山雅治保持當年吸引女性觀眾的能力到如今，
但是，最脫俗的酒井法子，卻在去年吸毒被補。
而這首歌，竟然在更早之前的1975年發表，現在聽來，仍是和當時相同的溫暖感覺。

サボテンの花“ひとつ屋根の下より”

突然在選秀節目上聽見這首歌，不自覺地就跟著哼出來，節目裡的歌手唱得不是頂好，不過歌本身好聽，跟著哼，很舒服。
記不得以前為什麼會學唱這首歌，八成是Dan Hill另一首我很喜歡的歌，”It’s a Long Road”，”First Blood”的主題曲，那時還沒看過這部電影，就已經很喜歡這首歌，後來看到電影，配合最後Rambo走出警察局踏上不知往那兒去的道路時，真是應景，更喜歡。
所以，找這個人的專輯，也因此聽到這首歌，也許是歌詞簡單且清楚，對當時的英文能力，容易跟上，但歌曲本身真得不錯，也怪不得現在仍有不少人重唱這首歌。
節目上寫著這首歌是 Olivia Ong 的版本，嗯，又一個以Bossa Nova風在日本出名的女歌手，她現在在電視上強打的歌，卻稍嫌平淡，被包裝成偶像型了。

我很喜歡黑人的歌聲，尤其在抒情歌中，能夠把低音部分唱得清楚渾厚。許多人聽歌，總驚訝於喉嚨可以扯多高，我倒喜歡能夠把低音處理得清清楚楚不含糊。
這也是小時候聽到而念念不忘的歌，還記得，是電影 <American Last Virgin>主題，這片，中文就直翻成<美國最後一個處女>，光這片名，就知道小時候不可能看過，最多最多是在余光節目裡看到片段，當作歌曲MV。
現在查詢，好笑，原來這部片是YA片，沒什麼想像中亂七八糟內容。不過在最後，男主角推門而入，剛好這首歌響起，直到結尾，太應景了，給我的好感，再加一分。
